    How to Import Sony EX3 XDCAM MP4 footage into FCP 7 on Mac
   
    Step 1. First things first, transfer MP4 footage from Sony EX3 XDCAM to your Mac with the complete structure.
   
    Open the application the load the MP4 footage onto it. You can do that either by using drag and drop or by accessing "Add File" or "Add Fold" and then add the MP4 files.
   
   
   
    Step 2. You can set "Final Cut Pro" as your output format directly, which will automatically set the resolution, bit rate and frame rate of the output file for you. Or you are able to customize the output setting by setting MOV, DV etc. as your output format. Just click on the format bar and follow "Final Cut Pro" > "Apple ProRes 422 HQ(*.mov)"
